In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of July 5, 2006, on the rights of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility when traveling by air,” airports and airlines are required to provide free assistance to passengers who need it.
If you are a person with a disability or reduced mobility, please remember to request assistance at least 48 hours before departure – this will allow us to prepare in advance to provide you with the necessary assistance. It is best to do this when purchasing your ticket by selecting the appropriate option on the carrier’s website or directly with the tour operator. If for some reason you are unable to inform the airline or airport of your need for assistance, we will make every effort to provide such assistance, but it may take a little longer.
Upon arrival at the airport, please contact the ticket and baggage check-in desk or the airport information desk, which will inform passenger service staff of the arrival of a person requiring assistance. A dedicated, properly trained assistant will provide you with the necessary assistance and will accompany you at every stage of the necessary procedures at the airport until you take your seat on the plane. Lublin Airport has specialized equipment to facilitate travel for people with disabilities. We provide wheelchairs, including those that can transport passengers between seats on the plane, and a special car with a lift called an “ambulift” for people who cannot climb the stairs to the plane.
If you are traveling with your own wheelchair, it will be transported to the baggage compartment after you have taken your seat on the plane. Upon arrival at your destination or any transfer airport, it will usually be made available immediately after the plane has landed. After leaving the aircraft, an assistant will remain at your disposal.
In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2006 of the European Parliament, assistance is guaranteed within the European Union, but assistance for persons with disabilities is offered at most airports around the world.
The Ground Services Department is responsible for assisting disabled persons and persons requiring special assistance at Lublin Airport.
