Travelling with a child

Overcast Overcast 19°C 13/07/2026 (Mon)

If you are travelling by air with a child, we recommend that you obtain a document confirming your child’s identity well in advance.

Each airline has its own regulations regarding travelling with children.

Babies’ food

Baby food is exempt from restrictions on the carriage of liquids. Therefore, when travelling by plane with an infant, you may bring baby food in containers exceeding 100 ml and in quantities exceeding one litre into the restricted area of the airport and take it with you on board the aircraft.

Travelling with a pram

Travelling with a pram is permitted and common practice. However, due to their size, prams cannot usually be transported in the aircraft cabin and are carried in the hold. The check-in procedure for a pram is usually similar to that for checked baggage. It is tagged at the ticket and baggage check-in point and only placed in the baggage hold before the passenger boards the aircraft (it will be returned immediately after landing).

A pram can, of course, be checked in as normal hold luggage. In this case, it is recommended that it be properly secured.

Facilities for parents

There are children’s play areas located in the departure hall in the Schengen and Non-Schengen zones of our airport, which can be used while waiting for your flight. We have also prepared family rooms where you can change your baby or feed them in peace and quiet.

We also encourage you to take advantage of the services offered by the Business Executive Lounge, where admission for children under 2 years of age is free.

Information on travelling with a child or travelling alone as a child can be found on the websites of the Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
