Persons with Disabilities

According to 'Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 July 2006 on the rights of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility when traveling by air’, airports and airlines are required to provide free assistance to passengers requiring assistance.

If you are a disabled person or a person with reduced mobility, please remember to request assistance at least 48 hours prior to departure – this will allow us to prepare in advance to provide you with the necessary assistance. It is highly recommended to do it while purchasing the ticket by selecting the appropriate option on the carrier’s website or directly from the tour operator. If for some reason you are unable to inform the airline or airport about the assistance you need, we will make every effort to offer such assistance, but it may take a little longer.

Upon arrival at the airport, please contact the check-in point or the airport information point, which will inform the passenger service of the arrival of the person requiring assistance. A dedicated, properly trained assistant will provide you with the necessary assistance and will accompany you at every stage during the necessary procedures at the airport until you take a seat on the plane. Lublin Airport has specialized equipment to facilitate travel for disabled people. We provide wheelchairs, including those that are able to transport a passenger between the seats on the plane, and a special car with a lift called an 'ambulift’ for people who cannot climb the stairs to the plane.

If you are traveling with your own wheelchair, after your taking seat on the plane the wheelchair will be transported to the baggage compartment of the plane . Upon arrival at the destination or any hub, it will normally be made available immediately after the plane has landed. After leaving the aircraft  the assistant is still available.

According to the Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006 of the European Parliament, assistance is provided within the European Union, but assistance to disabled people is offered at most airports in the world.

The Aircraft Ground Handling Department is responsible for servicing disabled persons and persons requiring special assistance at Lublin Airport.
